Nikki Jones Movement
Meet Nikki
Nikki Jones Movement is built on the belief that movement should support how you live, dance, and age, not punish your body. Rooted in a lifelong dance practice and shaped by personal injury and recovery, this work is about strength, alignment, and longevity.
Pilates became the foundation of my movement practice because it builds deep core strength, joint stability and body awareness, especially through the ankles, hips, shoulders and spine. Today, I bring that same attention to detail to clients across a wide range of ages, abilities and movement backgrounds, from those new to Pilates to experienced movers looking to deepen their practice.
My approach to teaching is personal and attentive. No two bodies move exactly alike, and sessions are adapted to the person in front of me, their experience, goals, strengths and limitations. Whether working privately or in a group setting, the goal is to help each client understand their body and move with greater confidence.
The principles
How the work is built
- Strength
- Deep core strength that holds under load, so the body has something to organize around before anything gets heavier or faster.
- Alignment
- Joint stability and body awareness through the ankles, hips, shoulders and spine. Position first, then power.
- Longevity
- Training that keeps you moving and living well for decades, not a program you can only survive for six weeks.
